Training Wheels No More

Emma gave up her training wheels this week. She was down to one training wheel (the other got loose and fell off and she didn't seem to need it anymore) anyway and on Wednesday another kid thought she would be okay without them and before I knew it they had unscrewed the bolt and off she went. It took her a couple of days to figure out how to start peddling without falling over and she had some steering issues while she was concentrating on starting without falling over. She ended up in a pile of woodchips, sideswiped the dog poop can and once ran into a tree, but with no lasting damage.

Oh, there's a story about a cat coming into the house a week ago. It took all day and finally a call to the office for help to get it out of the apartment. Betsy thinks he looks like Harry Manogue.
