Fiasco

In an attempt to distract Emma until lunch was ready, I tried a craft project yesterday: gluing macaroni to a paper plate. She was hungry and couldn't grasp the fact of dry pasta. She stuffed sticky dry penne into her mouth with one hand as I tried to pry sticky dry penne out of the other, all the while making disappointed noises. While this might not have passed the taste or texture test, at least none of it was toxic, and it did buy me time for the rest of the penne to cook.
