Emma had her Early Intervention assessment on Tuesday. She qualified for the program and we have a meeting scheduled to plan her therapy. We have also scheduled appointments for a hearing test and with a pediatric ENT. The speech pathologist we met on Tuesday said her speech sounds like that of someone with a hearing loss, hence the hearing test and ENT. My theory is that she has my narrow eustation tubes. If this proves correct, her speech may improve pretty quickly.
Oh, and it turns out the ENT Emma's been referred to is the doctor who saw Jordan from playgroup and put tubes in her ears. Jordan's mom said he's "awesome." I find this reassuring.
